Kokoni Creative Workshop dates and other stuff

Hi Reader!

I hope you are well and having a lovely summer?

I have been working on a few projects during my break, though not as many as I had hoped, as moving house has taken up so much time! But momentum is building, and hopefully one day I will have a little jewellery collection to show you. Sometimes the creative process takes a bit of time to kick in. I’m refusing to get annoyed or frustrated with myself because that won’t exactly help!

Anyway, inspiration sometimes comes in a roundabout way. Recently, I attended a 6-week pottery course at Paint a Pot Place in Bourne and had a great time. Unfortunately, I had flu half-way through, so couldn’t attend a session and didn't feel very creative. As I was about to leave for the last class, my eye caught a photo we have on the wall of Eva (my dog) leaping across some rocks at the top of a Scottish hill. I quickly sketched and cut out the shape of the leaping Eva to transfer onto one of my pots. A few weeks later, I found the little stencil in my bag and made a really sweet necklace, which I love and wear every day. It’s going to be the first piece in my collection.

I know that a few of you have been waiting patiently for some workshop dates so you can come and make something lovely with me. The dates below are for my most popular classes, but if you have something else in mind, you can drop me a message and we will sort something out. I generally open the workshop on a Saturday, but weekdays are an option too.

Saturday 6th September – Three silver stacking rings (without gemstones) £65 - 3 hours

Saturday 6th September - Three silver stacking rings, one with a gemstone £85 – 4 hours

Saturday 20th September – Chunky Silver Spinning ring with three spinning rings and two gemstones £120 – All day

Saturday 4th October - Three silver stacking rings (without gemstones) £65 - 3 hours

Saturday 4th October - Three silver stacking rings, one with a gemstone £85 – 4 hours

Saturday 18th October – Chunky Silver Spinning ring with three spinning rings and two gemstones £120 – All day

Date to suit you - 1-2-1 session working on your own project/designs £20 per hour (not including materials, but does include a chat beforehand to establish materials required. I can source these for you) You can also use this time to refresh skills such as soldering or bezel making (for I am the Queen of Bezels)

Another newsletter next Sunday with more dates and a write-up on a bracelet tutorial I tried out recently.

I'm off for a walk now to secure some blackberries as our new pottery friends Rachel and Andy have given us a bag-full of cooking apples. Alex has promised me a crumble this evening. So if you get in touch this evening, I'll reply to you in the morning x

Thanks for being here – I really do appreciate you very much.

Hi! All is well in Kokoni Towers, Eva says hi too! I went to the Friday opening of the Frost Fair at Molcey Mill in West Deeping and was delighted to see friends selling their beautiful wares. Bex Gosling was there with her fantastic handmade bags, and I spoke to some other lovely people who have come to my workshops, who were selling silver clay jewellery and Christmas decorations. If you live locally and haven’t been to the Frost Fair you have to go in 2026 - it’s a really magical vibe,...

Hi Reader! A Jewellery-Making Journey in Memory of a Beloved Dog I wanted to share the making of a charm bracelet for a dear friend. This was a little memento — her dog Mica had passed away recently, and we’d been talking through some ideas. I knew I wanted to make something from scratch. This wasn’t just a gift — it needed to come from the heart. Starting From Scratch A fellow jewellery-making friend had made a chain using a tutorial from Cookson Gold, so I decided to start there. As much as...
